A Homebuyer's Shocking Discovery: The Offer That Vanished

A while back, something happened that made us rethink the way we do real estate at Q Realty. A lady walked into one of our open homes, and you could see that she was genuinely upset. I’d never met her before, and little did I know her story would leave a mark.

You see, she had tried to buy a house from another agency. But she discovered that it had been sold for less than what she offered.

The Seller had not moved out of the house yet, so she took an opportunity when he was out watering his front lawn and asked ‘”Why didn’t you take my higher offer?” The homeowner’s response was  “Sorry, we have no knowledge of your offer.” 😞

As they dug into it, they uncovered something disturbing. It turns out, this seller’s own agent had never even presented her offer to them. Why? Well, it all came down to a reluctance to share the commission with his fellow agent! 🤦‍♂️

This incident sheds light on a common and very disturbing issue in the real estate industry. You know the saying, “We’re all capable of anything under the right circumstances”? In a commission-only office, these circumstances often lead to cutthroat unhealthy competition, leaving valuable connections unshared.

At Q Realty, we are about making changes to the real estate industry for the better. Our team thrives on trust and collaboration. Everyone here gets a fair salary with bonuses, so there’s no need for anyone to feel desperate. We believe in healthy competition, and, most importantly, we make sure every offer gets its chance in front of our homeowners.

Even with non-desperate commission-based agents, there’s no guarantee all offers will see the light of day. It’s time for a change, and at Q Realty, we’re here to provide you with a real estate experience that’s all about you. 🤝
