April 25, we remember and honor the brave servicemen and women who fought and sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Anzac Day is a special day when we come together as a nation to pay our respects and honor their legacy.

One of the ways to show our respect is by wearing a red poppy on this day, a symbol of remembrance for those who have fallen.

Another tradition is the 1-2 minute silence, at 11:00 am, where we pause to reflect on their sacrifice and give thanks for their bravery.

In addition, commemorative services are held at dawn across the nation, to commemorate the time of the original landing in Gallipoli.

Later in the day, ex-servicemen and women march through the major cities and smaller centres.

So, come and join us to watch and show your respect for the fallen and surviving heroes who have given us the freedom we enjoy today.
